Dean is especially upset because that stupid bastard was trying to help them. Chuck feels the angels coming, and sure enough, Zachariah arrives with two minions flanking him. Dean calls him an asshat and accuses him of jump-staring Judgment Day. Zack wants Dean to come with them, they ALL started this, let's move on--it's apocalypse now. Dean doesn't trust him: "Cram it with walnuts, ugly!" Zack says they must strike NOW against Lucifer, who's very powerful--before he finds his meatsuit. When he does, it's going to be Four Horsemen, red oceans, fiery skies, the greatest hits. Dean assures this douche he wants nothing from him. Zack gets mad at Dean's rebellious attitude, then notices Dean is bleeding. "A little insurance policy in case you dicks showed up," says Dean. He flips over a wall on which he's written, in blood, the sigils Cas showed him to banish angels. "I learned that from our friend Cas,"says Dean. "This sucks ass," says Chuck.

Irritated by all Dean's jokes, Zack points his finger at Sam and breaks both his legs, promising to do worse if Dean keeps mouthing off. Zach is done screwing around; they need their general! Michael is going to take his vessel and lead the final charge against the adversary--do you understand me? Dean wants to know how many humans die in the crossfire--millions? If Lucifer goes unchecked, warns Zack, ALL of them; he'll roast the planet alive. You need my consent, realizes Dean--Michael needs my say-so to ride around in my skin. That's right, says Zack, and there's no other way--Michael must battle and defeat the serpent. "Eat me," invites Dean, "the answer is no!" Zack threatens to paralyze Bobby, then gives Dean stage 4 stomach cancer that has him spitting up blood. Zack removes Sam's lungs, leaving him gasping, and asks, "Are we having fun yet?" "You're going to say yes, Dean," promises Zack, cupping Dean's chin in his hand. "Just kill us," gasps Dean. "Kill you?" says Zach. "Oh, no, I'm just getting started. The room fills with a bright white light. One of Zack's minion angels suddenly has a red hole in his throat. Castiel fights and overcomes the other, killing him by plunging a dagger-like knife through his throat. Cas, speaking with an authority we've never heard from him before, has no idea how he's alive anymore than he knows how Sam and Dean ended up on that airplane. If the angels didn't do it, then who? The possibilities scare Zack, a lot. "Now put these boys back together and GO!" orders Castiel. "I won't ask twice!" Zach leaves, in the flutter of wings. "You two need to be more careful," says Cas. "I get that," says Dean, "your frat brothers are bigger dicks than we thought." Cas is speaking of Lucifer, who is circling his vessel, and once he takes it, those hex bags won't be enough to protect them. Cas touches their chests, carving Enochian symbols into their ribs. (ouch!) It will even hide them from Lucifer. Sam asks if Cas was really dead. Castiel responds yes, but when asked how he was resurrected, no answer is given.

She explains that he crime was to love God too much, and for that she was betrayed and punished, just as Nick was--how could God stand idly by and allow Nick's family to be butchered in their beds? There are only two answers--either God is sadistic or he doesn't care. Since they're both angry about it, they should find him, hold him accountable for his actions--just because he created us doesn't mean he can toy with us like playthings! "If I help you," asks Nick, "will you bring back my family?" No, she replies, but I can give you justice, peace. She assures him she doesn't lie, she doesn't need to, but she does need him to say yes. He thinks about the baby swing, the blood, and whispers, "Yes." From our view outside the house, we see the brightest light imaginable filtering through the windows, filling the night with an unholy glow as Lucifer fills his vessel.
