Dean Pelton accuses Jeff of making up a fake class on conspiracy theories; Annie shows off a diorama on alternative energy; Troy and Abed plan to make a blanket fort during their sleepover.

Troy and Abed expand their fort; Pelton and Annie refuse to believe Jeff's story, especially when his classroom turns out to be a janitor's closet. But then his professor, Professor Professorsen shows up. After he leaves and Pelton apologizes, however, Jeff admits to Annie that he made up the whole class and had never seen the guy who called himself his professor before. Annie is shocked, but Jeff just tells her to blow it off.

Abed and Troy invite Pavel to add to their fort.

Annie reveals to Jeff that Professor Professorsen's real name is Professor Woolley and he teaches night school at Greendale. Jeff then receives a threatening phone call hinting that Annie's diorama will explode. It sort of sparks instead, but it's enough to become part of the conspiracy.

The blanket fort has taken over the hallway at Abed's dorm, and all the residents are pitching in.

Jeff and Annie visit night school, where all the classes have seemingly made-up names. They encounter Prof. Woolley and ask him what he's teaching and if they could sit in on his lesson. After vaguely describing his math class, Woolley takes off and escapes into the blanket fort. Annie, Jeff, Troy, and Abed chase after him. Jeff takes him down.

Professor Woolley reveals "night school"--a closet with computers constantly running. He explains how he was once a student who invented a fake class in order to get a free credit and the lie evolved into an entire fake school with fake teachers and fake students. Pelton shoots Annie with a prop gun. Jeff shoots Pelton and Annie thinks he used a real gun. She admits that she and Pelton came up with the conspiracy together to teach Jeff a lesson about making up fake classes. While everyone relaxes in the blanket fort, Jeff admits he's proud of Annie for being so deceptive. Jeff, however, thought Annie was just improvising when she said she loved him. Pavel tells Abed and Troy that their blanket fort made the front page of the school paper. Because they've "gone mainstream", Abed and Troy destroy the fort to preserve their credibility.

Abed and Troy make up a story together, sort of.
