Chang takes the pile of stuff that he found in the vent and leaves it with the group before diving back into the vent again. The objects remind group members of different things that happened during the year, such as the time a prospector chased them out of a ghost town and the time they filled in for the glee club. Troy points out what a dark year it was and when Jeff tries to get Abed to remember happier times, he recalls the fact that Jeff and Britta have been having "secret" sexual encounter...

Annie asks Jeff what's been going on between them all year and mentions every longing look or other such moment they've had. Jeff says she reading too much into it, and that the same logic could apply to Pierce and Abed.
Jeff explains that it's good that they're getting these things off their chests so they'll never fight again. Abed points out that they've tried that before. They remember past fights they've had about fighting until Troy snaps and screams while his nose bleeds. Abed's solution is that they just go about their own business. just as they start to, Chang bursts out of the vent.
