Scene 1 Pop and Locktoberfest (00:00:00 - 00:02:45) view scene

Dean Pelton announces that the annual Oktoberfest is now a Pop and Locktoberfest, complete with a breakdancing competition. Jeff meets an old co-worker and friend from his old law firm, who is at Greendale for an NA meeting.

Scene 2 Bad Influence (00:02:46 - 00:04:57) view scene

Jeff decides to blow off the group study session so he can go to the bar with Alan, and the others wonder if Alan's a bad influence on him.

Scene 3 Best. Lawyer. Ever. (00:04:58 - 00:05:29) view scene

Jeff and Alan reminisce about their adventures together in the law firm. Alan invites Jeff to an office party, and Jeff admits he misses the office.

Scene 4 Charades (00:05:30 - 00:08:00) view scene

The group wonders why Jeff would rather hang out with Alan than with them. Annie suddenly remembers Alan from her NA meetings, and that he said that he got a co-worker disbarred. Since this was around the time Jeff was disbarred, the group assumes that Alan "narced out" Jeff. Jeff, meanwhile, backs out of the Pop and Locktoberfest so he can go to the office party, and the group decides that he thinks he's too cool for them. Scene 5 A Night at the Office (00:08:01 - 00:10:45) view scene

The group arrives at the law office party after Alan invites them. It turns out that Jeff's co-workers and boss really miss him. Everyone has ulterior motives: Alan wants Jeff to help him make partner, and the study group wants to convince Jeff to come back to their dance team. They decide to do this by hacking into Alan's computer to find incriminating emails.

Scene 6 Lonely Chang (00:10:46 - 00:10:59) view scene

At the Pop and Locktoberfest, Chang picks up the contest form from the dean, insisting that the rest of the team will join him.

Scene 7 The Caper (00:11:00 - 00:11:44) view scene

Annie, Abed, and Troy sneak to Alan's office. Abed brings out his caper supplies, and Troy designates Annie at the lookout, since her looks can serve as a distraction.

Scene 8 Offerings (00:11:45 - 00:13:38) view scene

Jeff suggests to Ted that Alan be made partner, but Ted says he'll only do it if he denies his friendship with Alan. Ted also offers Jeff a consulting position. Meanwhile, Britta has been offered a beach house in Rio in exchange for sleeping with one of the lawyers once a month; Shirley's been offered a civil suit against the stripper with whom her ex-husband cheated on her; and Pierce has learned about a special island in Indonesia.

Scene 9 Fun with Chloroform (00:13:39 - 00:15:28) view scene

Abed and Troy hack into Alan's computer and print the incriminating email. A janitor walks in and asks why they're there, but Annie rushed in and immediately gives him the choloroform. The three are all freaked out by the incident and Abed decides that they should all pretend they were chloroformed, too. The janitor wakes up, as do the others, but he remembers Annie with the rag, so she gives him the chloroform again and she, Abed, and Troy run out of the room.

Scene 10 Chang's Motivation (00:15:29 - 00:15:54) view scene

Even though the rest of his team isn't there, Chang keeps dancing, motivated by a fantasy of him being a group member.

Scene 11 Jeff Doesn't Care (00:15:55 - 00:17:07) view scene

Annie gives Jeff the email Alan sent to get his disbarred. Jeff admits that Alan is a bad friend, but he's a good lawyer, so he deserves to be made partner. He explains that he doesn't care about anything, and that what makes good lawyers. He then calls them out for trying to sell their souls for legal perks.

Scene 12 Alan Is a Bad Friend (00:17:08 - 00:18:29) view scene

Alan announces to Jeff that he is the new partner at the firm, but tells him he has to confess something as well. He tells Jeff that another lawyer, Thompson, was responsible for him getting disbarred. Jeff decides to go where his real friends are, Greendale.

Scene 13 Cool People Care (00:18:30 - 00:20:43) view scene

Jeff leaves the party for the Pop and Locktoberfest. Chang is still dancing but just before he passes out, Troy joins him. The group unites for a dance, but the dean says the're disqualified. Jeff tells the group that he still wants Alan on his side for legal purposes, they are his true friends. Chang, however, is still not allowed into the group because they didn't win the competition.

Scene 14 You Have to Believe (00:20:44 - 07:59:59) view scene

A cartoon Abed persuades Troy to go into his world.
