Annie hosts a baby shower for Shirley that is Chinese and Ghanaian-themed since the father of the child could either be Chang or Andre. Andre is committed to being a father either way, but Shirley doesn't want Chang to be in the child's life despite his enthusiasm. Meanwhile, Britta has a crush on Troy and Abed's new friend Lukka, but Troy tells her to stay away from him. Jeff notes that this guarantees that she'll find a way to have sex with Lukka.
Britta shows up at Abed's dorm when he, Troy, and Lukka are playing video games. She and Lukka flirt and she gives him her number. Troy and Abed tell her not to date him because whenever she breaks up with someone they like, she'll tell them something horrible about him that makes them not want to hang out with him anymore.
While Britta and Lukka are making out at his apartment, she tells him not to tell Troy and Abed what's going on. Lukka says that he can keep a secret, as he's from the Balkans and therefore used to not talking about many things. This turns Britta on. She surmised about all the suffering Lukka must have endures, but in fact, Lukka misses being part of the ethnic cleansing movement and the way he used to make people suffer.
Jeff gives Chang the papers Shirley gave him. Chang starts crying because he really does want to be part of the baby's life. Jeff advises him to get a job and his own place and become more responsible, and maybe that can help change Shirley's mind. He's really doing this to get Chang out of his apartment.
Britta wants to tell Abed and Troy about Lukka's violent past but they remind her of the past friendships she's broken up. When Shirley asks Jeff if he got Chang to sign the papers, Chang arrives, pretending that he's got his life together so he can be a good dad. He thanks Jeff for giving him the idea. Shirley confronts Jeff, saying that she doesn't want Chang in the baby's life whether he has his life together or not.
Lukka's skill in the video game he plays with Troy and Abed mirrors his skill in terrorizing people back in the Balkans. Britta tries to make Troy and Abed aware that his bloodlust isn't limited to the videogame but it doesn't work. Lukka asks Abed if he can borrow one of his DVDs but Abed says that anyone who takes it will face dire consequences. This gives Britta an idea.
Andre tries to tell Chang that there's a lot more to being a father than just carrying around a pipe and a "World's Greatest Dad" mug, which is what Chang has been doing. Chang thinks Andre is just threatened by him.
Abed and Troy tell Britta that someone has stolen the DVD, and when she tries to pin the crime on Lukka, they show video footage of her taking it. Britta begs them to believe her when she says that Lukka is a war criminal, but they don't.
Jeff walks into his apartment to find Chang teaching Spanish to two small boys. Chang says that they're Shirley's kids whom he'd picked up from school and now he's helping them with their Spanish homework. Jeff tells him he's not acting like a father, he's acting like a kidnapper, and he regrets giving Chang the idea that he could be a father because he's a horrible human being. Jeff leaves to get the police, although the kids turn out not to be Shirley's at all. To get Jeff back, though, Chang ...

Jeff leaves to get the police, although the kids turn out not to be Shirley's at all. To get Jeff back, though, Chang gives an anonymous tip to the police about a kidnapping.
Jeff is released from jail after Shirley clears up the confusion with the other children's movie. She also gets Chang a 3 to 5 year sentence for kidnapping. Jeff apologizes for using Chang's predicament to get him out of his apartment and tells her a way to manipulate the legal system so that Chang can get a 20 to life sentence. Andre interrupts by saying to Shirley that eliminating Chang from the child's life won't make the perfect family that she'd been trying to make.
Abed and Troy apologize for being so harsh on Britta. They asked him about what Britta had told them and realized there's a huge difference between not telling them a guy's sexual preferences and not telling them about his involvement in genocide. They invite her to watch a movie with them and all is forgiven.
