The paintball game is still on, and Troy and Abed are pursuing another student. They tell him that a professional paintball player had infiltrated the game. Dean Pelton hears this and he's confused, but it all comes into focus when the ice cream company mascot is revealed to be rival City College's Dean Spreck in disguise. Spreck masterminded the whole paintball game, including inventing a fake ice cream company, so that the Greendale students would destroy their own school.

Troy and Abed get the other Greendale students together and tell them what's going on. They propose that rather than fight each other, they form an alliance to fight Dean Spreck and City college. Abed uses this as an opportunity to play a Han Solo role. A robot with a paintball bomb attached wheels into the room and explodes, but Magnitude sacrifices himself by throwing himself on it so that his body absorbs all the paint. Abed, Shirley, and Annie ambush two of Spreck's guards. They also find buckets of paint in a storage closet. Abed flirts with Annie while in character as Han Solo. Annie learns to like it. The three join the remaining students to convene to organize an attack on Dean Spreck and his guards. Troy has one plan, which Jeff won't listen to because he thinks his plan is better. Annie suggests they split into two groups and carry out both.

Dean Spreck bribes Pierce with pudding so he can get more information about Jeff. Pierce mentions being kicked out of the study group after two years, and Spreck asks why it took so long, which makes Pierce think. Abed and Annie shoot two guards from the student lounge and share more Han Solo/Princess Leia tension. Meanwhile, Troy's plan is working, which he brags about to Jeff.

Jeff and Troy carry out their plans simultaneously, one in the courtyard, one in the library. Jeff gets shot and is out of the game.
