Britta prepares herself for the scorn of the popular girls, but it turns out they admire her for displaying her fearlessness at the dance. Meanwhile, Jeff reminds Annie that their kissing was a mistake, but Annie has deeper feelings.

The class begins their first anthropology class. Abed explains Britta's new popularity to Jeff as being similar to the jilted Jennifer Aniston. Senor Chang has joined the course because of its violent subject matter. Star Burns has a new hat. He also gets shot with a blow gun by Professor Bauer when he makes a smart answer. Professor Bauer tells the class that they will have to make a diorama, and that they need to form tribes, preferably of mixed races.

Troy Tweets the ridiculous things Pierce says into a popular account called "Old White Man Says". Britta is enjoying her own popularity, but it leaves Jeff as the female students' most hated man on campus. Jeff confronts Britta about this, but she has no intention of making women like him again. Annie reminds him that she still likes him and even wants to settle down with him. Jeff doesn't want that, but it does give him an idea as to how to beat Britta at her own game.

Professor Bauer offers an Indian healing drink to her students, which no one takes. Jeff follows his diabolical plan by standing up in front of the class and telling Britta he loves her and asks if she loves him back. Britta, not wanting to let Jeff becomes the victim and thus steal her power, says that yes, she does. They very awkwardly kiss and the class applauds. They are also given an assignment to examine a box of tools and determine which is most important to the development of mankind.

Britta and Jeff begin a relationship out of spite, and the campus loves them both for it. Abed is bored by all this, and Annie is heartbroken. Abed tries to wrap up the romance with "a wedding episode". Annie announces that she and Jeff kissed after he had sex with Britta. Jeff says she should have kept that secret, and Annie punches him in the nose. Britta tells Jeff she never loved him, and to Jeff, this means he won their spite competition. He takes a seat next to Star Burns, who reminds him that the only reason he formed the study group was so he could have sex with Britta. He then asks him that now that he's done that and he also made out with Annie, what does he need the group for anymore? Professor Bauer asks Jeff to present the findings of his group assignment. She is suspended for this. He wakes up in the infirmary to find the group has learned a lesson from his speech and everyone's made amends. Senor Chang comes in and decides to swallow his pride and ask to join the study group. Jeff says they'll think about it but he tells the others he'll join eventually.
