It's Valentine's week at GCC, and excitement is in the air. Professor Slater is scheduled to chaperone the Valentine's Day dance, and Jeff agrees to go with her. Later, Jeff checks his voicemail and finds a message from an obviously very drunk Britta.

The Greendale Human Being (now the Cupid Being) delivers Valentine's Day gifts to Annie, Shirley, and Abed, but sadly, not Pierce or Troy. Britta stumbles in, hung over, and Jeff replays her message for her. He then tells Abed about this.

During Spanish class, the Cupid Being gives Troy and Pierce valentines that they've obviously sent to themselves. They deny it, but Senor Chang calls them on it and ridicules them in front of the class. Shirley and Annie vow to get revenge on him.

Jeff tries to make Britta feels less awkward about the message.

Jeff interrupts Abed's film shoot to tell him that Britta's still acting weird. Abed suggests that Jeff leave her a drunk message to even them out.

Abed tries to get Jeff just drunk enough to leave Britta a believable message. It isn't working, so Jeff asks him to drink with him because he'd feel more comfortable that way. Abed doesn't normally drink, but he does it in the name of his art. It turns into a night of various drunken antics.

The next day, Jeff and Abed are noticeably absent from Spanish class. The Cupid Being delivers a letter to Senor Chang from Princeton asking him to head their Spanish department. He quickly realizes it's fake and suspects Troy and Pierce of the crime. As punishment, they must escort him to the dance or fail the class.

Jeff and Abed wake up that afternoon with no memory of Jeff calling Britta or Professor Slater, though his phone shows that he made the two calls.

Troy and Pierce prepare to escort Senor Chang to the dance while wearing women's pantsuits, just as he specified. Annie and Shirley are hesitant to tell them the truth about the prank. Jeff and Abed show up hung over, and Britta relishes the fact that she knows what's in Jeff's message and he doesn't.

Jeff arrives at the dance with flowers for Professor Slater, but she is upset that the previous night, he called her and hung up when he realized she wasn't Britta. Meanwhile, Troy and Pierce prepare to unveil their pantsuits when Annie and Shirley tell them that they were the ones who pulled the prank on Senor Chang. But Pierce and Troy go ahead anyway to protect the women from feeling the wrath of Senor Chang

Britta shows up wearing a tight dress and tells Jeff that when he asked her to the dance in his voicemail she was shocked..and thrilled. Jeff replies that he doesn't remember anything he said in the message and apologizes if she thought he meant anything he said then. He says that Professor Slater knows about the drunk dialing and he doesn't want to lose her. It turns out that Britta was just messing with Jeff anyway so that she can regain the upper hand in their friendship.
