What is moogi?

  • Moogi allows you to connect with and browse through information just beneath the surface of your favorite shows, add links to other blogs and websites, and share that info with your friends.

This information includes products, fashion, characters, locations, music, news, tweets and more.

Our goal is to become an interactive, community influenced, authoritative data-source that provides viewers of TV with answers to questions which they may have about what they see and hear while watching TV.

Moogi is currently in beta, which means we are adding and testing new features all the time.

Please share your feedback with us at , thanks!

Information on how to contact moogi

How to browse

  • Finding an episode

    • - You can always get back to the home page by clicking on the moogi icon in the upper left of all the pages

    • - From there you can click on a show image to get to its page. You can also search for data using the SEARCH box on the upper right of every page

    • - From the TV Shows page, linked next to the big moogi icon, you can search for more shows

  • Using the scrollbar - Show level

    • - This first example is the top page for the show Heroes. At this page level you can see any objects associated with the show, from any season or episode

    • - You will also notice an icon for the iTunes link to this show in the streaming / downloading section of the page
  • Using the scrollbar - Scene level

    • - In this example, the user has selected season 3 in the scrollbar, and then episode 11, and finally scene 2. You can view data related to content at any level, from show down to scene where available.

    • - At the scene level, you can click or drag the scrollbar to quickly move between scenes without a page reload.

    • - Also, the streaming / downloading section now has additional icons for sources related to this episode.

  • Characters have content levels too!

    • - Just like you can look at an overall show, season, episode or scene level view for a television show, you can also view characters at those same levels. We think this is a great way to really find the information you are looking for related to a character.

    • - In this case, you are browsing the Character page for Jenny Humphrey's appearance in from Season 1, Episode 3 of Gossip Girl.

What Are Points

  • Moogi Points

    • - Because Moogi relies on users to contribute to the database of content relevant information, we developed a points and ranking system for every member of the Moogi community. All users who create a profile on Moogi.com have the opportunity to collect points, simply by contributing links to shows and other objects.

    • - The points rating system works very much in tandem with the overall structure of the site. For every show, season, episode, scene, character, actor, information, location, audio, product and similar product, users have the chance to earn points on Moogi when they add relevant links to an item.

    • - There are lots of reasons to add links to moogi, we cover some of them here

Why add links and collect points?

  • There are lots of reasons to add links to moogi! Here are a few:

    • - You are a fan of a show and want to help create the best resource on the web for viewers all over the world to learn about different things within television content.

    • - You are a fan of a show and want to show it. By adding links you accumulate points and can be seen ranked on different pages. Rankings are unique for each Show, season, episode and scene, so even if you feel like you have a long way to go to get to the top of a show ranking, you probably don't for an episode or season. Ranking are also unique for characters and other data objects.

    • - You have a website or blog that relates to these shows or items featured in them. By adding information to moogi you can become known as an authority on different shows or subjects. You can also add links directly to your web site if they are relevant. For example, a link to your blog's episode summary of a show would be great to place on an episode page. You would be helping making the moogi community a better place for all users, and also get some additional traffic to your site in the process.
    • Registered users can add links to moogi.com content pages (TV show pages, seasons, episodes and scenes) and individual objects (characters, actors, songs, artists, products, brands, locations and info objects).

    • Adding relevant links to moogi.com helps the site become an even better resource for TV viewers, and is a great way to get additional traffic to relevant sites. If you blog about TV or want to link to your favorite TV fan site, you could end up sending a lot of extra traffic to those sites.

    • Links for content

    • - Links will be included if they are relevant to the content they are being added for. For the show 24 links about 24 would be considered relevant. Links about competing shows will generally not be considered relevant and not be included.

    • - Please add links to the most specific content level possible.

    • - That means a recap for an episode would be a great link to add to an episode page. Once you do, the link will automatically be added to the season and show page as well. But please add your link to the specific episode and let the site take care of showing it on the season and show level!

    • Links for objects

    • - Links will be included if they are relevant to the object they are being added for. For the brand Pepsi links about Pepsi would be considered relevant. Links about competing products or brands will generally not be considered relevant and not be included.
